ROTARY INTERNATIOINAL SCHOLARSHIP OFFERED

The Rotary Club of Stennis Space Center is looking for a candidate for an education opportunity of a lifetime!  The Club and Rotary District 6840 are looking for two third year  college students (juniors) or a recent graduate for a one-year learning opportunity in a foreign country. This exciting opportunity, worth $26,000, is called the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship program. Individuals who are selected for this educational adventure will serve as goodwill ambassadors to their host countries and return home with new perspectives and enlarged vision of the world.

College students from south Mississippi and Louisiana will travel to foreign country and study in a foreign university.   They will also be sponsored by a local Rotary Club near the foreign university and visit in the homes of local Rotary members, business leaders, eat their meals with real families, visit amazing cultural sites and interact with professionals in their vocations in the host country.

The $26,000 is provided by the Rotary Foundation to cover tuition, travel expenses, accommodations and meals.  All a participant needs is a great attitude, good grades and a passport!  Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.  This scholarship offers the most unique skills-building and personal growth experience available to young professionals as they face the unique challenges of today’s world.
If you would like an opportunity of a lifetime, please contact Rob Young at 228-688-5867 or ryoung51@gmail.com  April 15, 2011 for an application.
